Effective techniques in Ender's Game

The Author has successfully utilized the use of mulitple perspectives linking in with dramatic Irony. Dramatic irony is when the reader learns and understands what is going to happen to the character before the character knows. At the start of every chapter the Author has given us a new font which indicated dialogue between two unknown characters talking about Ender. While they are talking they discuss isolation and other methods they will use to make his life hard at battle school.

page 16 "So what are we going to do?"
"Persuade him that he wants to come with us more than he wants to stay with her"
We can infer from this dialogue that these people are going to approach Ender with some sort of proposition for Ender to leave home away from his family.

page 27 "Ill have him completely separated from the rest of the boys by the time we get to the school"
from this quote we can infer that this person Graff is going to do something that will make Ender seem like an outcast to the rest of the group

The use of Dramtic irony is used sucessfully becuase it creates an idea for the reader about what is going to happen in the future. This is positive becuase the Author then can create twists in the story which then creates a much larger opportunity for the series of events. This also gives us a better idea of Ender to see whether he can overcome and predict his own future when we the reader already know what is happening.
